When it comes to seduction, the FEELINGS are fundamental
In architectural visualization, SIGHT seems to be the most important.
Sometimes, when something is liked, it is said that it “enters through the eyes”.
However, other senses can be just as important.
Thus, if we make an animation, the SOUND is fundamental. We talked about the soundtrack and special effects. Let’s not forget the revolution that the transition from silent to sound films brought about. Subsequently, the various sound projection systems have led us to more and more immersive situations.
TOUCH is one of the intrinsic shortcomings of the infographic simulation of buildings. For that reason, traditional models still make sense (the sense of this sense). 3D technology is an attempt to materialize the intangible. We put on the glasses and it seems that we can touch it. However, we can’t. The same thing happens with holographic techniques.
The simulation of effects (gusts of air, humidity, even water) have also tried to provoke more complete perceptive sensations in the viewer.
With respect to SMELL, there were also some attempts. The New World (2005), by director Terrence Malick, is the film with the most effects in history. It could only be appreciated in some rooms. In this link, you can see a description of the system used.
Although I’m sure that with FLAVOR they also wanted to experiment, I can’t imagine how.
I suggest you take a look at these 21 magnificent photos of EYES. by Suren Manvelyan specializing in macro and portrait photography.
They are splendid miniature landscapes.
