Imagine the highest place I’ve ever been to record aerial views.

Although another day I will talk about my adventures recording hand in hand with my great collaborator David Luque, today I want to talk about two adventures that I surely would not repeat now.

The first was to film from a helicopter.

As I was saying, at that time (around 2010) the only way to film from the air was with a helicopter. I wish drones had arrived a little earlier!

In addition to the helicopter, it was necessary for it to have the camera attached to its fuselage.

At that time, flying this aircraft cost 6,000 euros per hour.

With the recording made (you can see the video below) we made our first “dabbling” fusing real and infographic images in motion (the technique called “camera tracking”).

The other, on second thought, I think was more dangerous.

I tell you about this adventure in my newsletter. Subscribe in this link

The shots were spectacular but I shouldn’t have gone up there.

It’s funny how those of us who are dedicated to these things do whatever it takes to make the production look as good as possible. We don’t care if it’s only a few seconds in the final production.

Have you ever found yourself in dangerous situations because you are a “professional”?

I don't expect you to share it, but I'd like to be wrong.
